My inaugural speech
January 31, 2009
My fellow Americans:
I stand here in awe at the wonderful support that you are giving me. I have a huge amount of work to do for my country. I am eager to begin working on the promises that I made during my candidacy. There are many problems risen from poor economic health, healthcare costs, company mergers, corporate bankruptcies, and violence.
I promise to do my best to help this country get back on its feet and be a shining star once again for the entire world to look up to. The need for sacrifices is paramount for me as well as all Americans. It is time to take responsibility for our own actions.
We are still the most prosperous nation in the world, but it is urgent that we all share in helping to make this country great once again. It is time we discovered new ways to deal with these problems like dwindling oil supplies, terrorists, stock market failures, and credit crisis.
We can develop alternate forms of energy that don’t rely on petroleum products such as: solar, wind, water, and bio-fuels. There is only so much oil on this earth and our natural resources are being depleted at a staggering rate. Americans are and always have been resilient and courageous to go forward in the midst of major problems.
There is a need to restructure some of the federal programs like Social Security, Medicare, and the Welfare system. We have the technologies and mental capacities to overcome obstacles. Our banking system needs to be strengthened with better quality management to assure Americans that their accounts will not fail.
Each and every American can do their part to push this great nation forward and achieve a better resolve. It may take some time to get better, but the economy has been in trouble for a number of years. I have the responsibility and tools to make it better, but everyone should do their part to help.
Americans voted me into office, and the Good Lord made it happen. We will make a difference and feel good about our heritage and our future. I see a great future for this country. I am proud to be an American, and I will be your leader to direct the right ways.
This country is blessed by God, and it is the main reason we are not in turmoil now. We should not falter or think that we will fall. Our happiness, richness, power, and courage are fortified by God. Our founding fathers started to fight when we first discovered this nation, and it has become even greater because we have not given up on Him.
Thank you for letting me; be your president and friend. I promise to do what I said that I would do and help Americans all that I can. May God bless you and keep you and strengthen you now and in the future. The Good Lord is watching even now to see if we will stand in these troubled times.
